SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah. Been alone since I was six. They ain't never hear me cry. All this pain in my chest. I just mask it when I smile. Poppin' mad, since a kid, tryna numb was deep inside. I've been fighting for my demons. Sometimes I wanna die. Yeah, I've been searching for some love, but it's nowhere to be found. Every hug felt fake, every word, just time to laugh. Feelings turn their backs, had me broken on the ground. Now I'm drowning my luck, and I'm barely holding down. Just a child, I was fighting battles, nobody could see. They let me have the problem while I just wanna be free. I was six years old on the mess, I couldn't pronounce. Feeling trapped in my body while they watched me bounce. I remember every night when I cried in that bed. Try to hold it all in. The voices loud in my head. They said you'll be okay, but they never stayed around. It's hard to heal in silence when nobody makes a sound. Auntie said I was crazy, told the fam I was wild. But she ain't see the broken heart, I was living inside a child. Every time she showed me, hey, I felt smaller than before. That's why I built this wall. I don't trust love anymore. No mama took me in no father to cough. Just a sign of my tears in hospital walls. They strive me to a bed when I fall off my pain. And said I needed medication, just to think the same. Twenty-one stays, lay I done, lost counts of nights. Every doctor had a plan, but it never felt right. They don't treat the soul, they just draw the emotion. Now I'm drifting through my youth like a body in the ocean. I was thinking about the end life. What they even care, what they cry for a day, or just asking nowhere. I ain't wanna die, just wanna some peace. I've been chained by my trauma, but the pain won't cease. Depression been intending in my head for too long. It's like my soul sings pain. Every verse is the song. I done blood for attention, I done scream for the trust. The people that I love just watch me turn it dust. I see my dad behind the cage, mama lost on the high. Both ghosts in my story, while I'm running to survive. I was searching for hugs, I could hear what I feel. Every time I reached out, love I never felt real. So I started talking less, got addicted to the quiet. They said talk about your pain, but they never lived this riot. They ain't see me in them walls, fizz bruised on the wall, feelin' like a lot of soul. Waiting on God's call. I seen kids laugh while I cried in them homes, feeling heavy from rejection, tryna stand when I fall. They said, man, be strong. But that phrase feels cursed. Cause I've been strong for too long, now it's starting to hurt. I've been drying and prescription, tryna balance my brain. But they never call the trauma, just numb the pain. So I sip and I smoke just to quiet the screams. Rapid hair, just remind me of them shattered dreams. Some night I sat the window thinking, why me, Lord? Why you let me see this world? If it's dark and tall, then the voice deep inside whispered, you gon' rise through it all. Survive this one, that means you ain't meant to fall. Yeah.
